Matt and Callie arrived at our campground and the four of us had a Lewis and Clark day. We first went to Cape Disappointment, where Lewis, Clark and the Corps of Discovery first saw the Pacific Ocean. We visited the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and then made our way to Fort Clatsop, where the Corps spent the winter of 1805/1806 and made salt (in Seaside, OR) for the return journey to St Louis. It was a day filled with history and reminders of what was undoubtedly the greatest adventure and exploration in the history of our country. The four of us had a wonderful day together.
